Waiting For Lightning (2012) is a documentary film from the producers of “Step Into Liquid” about Danny Way, a young boy from a broken home in Vista, CA, whose passion for skateboarding would one day bring him and his creation, a ramp of prodigious and dangerous proportions, across many cultural and ideological boundaries to attempt the impossible: jump China’s Great Wall on a skateboard. It’s a film about how much abuse the body can sustain, how deep you have to dig to survive the betrayals of family, and how high and far dreams can fly. Featuring Rob Dyrdek, Tony Hawk and many more!

The Birth Of Big Air (2010) is BMX star Mat Hoffman’s high-flying career as documented in this installment of ESPN Films’ 30 for 30 series. Director Jeff Tremaine and co-producers Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jonze showcase Hoffman’s love of the sport and relentless pursuit of record-breaking jumps and tricks.

Formed as a DreamMaker project of The Ink People Center for the Arts, the RampArt Collective is a coalition of skateboarders, BMX cyclists, and artists dedicated to sustaining RampArt Indoor Skatepark at 700 South G Street in Arcata. As a non-profit program, all proceeds go toward expanding workshops offered to youth, improving the skatepark, and keeping admission fee’s low-cost. RampArt Skatepark serves as a venue for hundreds of skateboarders, BMXers, and artists in our community to explore their talents while providing protection from the
weather.
