World Famous Productions presents Signal Path, Blockhead, Moo-Got-2, Gene Cochino & Kush Arora!
For almost a decade, Signal Path’s mission has been to push the boundaries of electronic music in the performance setting. As one of the pioneers of their genre, Signal Path has influenced countless artists across the country, been downloaded by tens of thousands of loyal fans nationwide, played almost every major US festival, and has gained international recognition for their live shows. In the next phase of Signal Path, and almost two years since their last major tour, fans find the band producing a sound that has become more mature, authoritative, and immense. While still blending both live instrumentation and computer generated production, Signal Path is creating some of the most progressive music in their history. Originally a duo, Signal Path comes full circle with Ryan Burnett producing and playing guitar and Damon Metzner on the acoustic drums. This configuration allows the sound to become focused, spontaneous, and rich. With a new record made available to their fans absolutely free through their website www.signalpathmusic.com, The Path is back, updated, and will be coming to a city near you.
Blockhead grew up in downtown New York City. The son of an artist, early on he found his passion was for music. A fan of a whole range of sounds, especially hip-hop, Blockhead steadily built a tremendous collection of tapes and later CDs from innumerable artists. After a brief stint as a rapper, he realized his calling was behind the boards and not on the mic, and from there he began to produce beats. Since making that decision, he’s been kept pretty busy. Blockhead produced 9 tracks on Aesop Rock’s critically acclaimed album Labor Days. Additionally he produced half the tracks on Aesop’s follow up EP, Daylight. Blockhead has also been working with other indie giants such as Slug of Atmosphere, Murs, Mike Ladd and SA Smash. He also found time to complete a break beat album entitled Blockhead’s Broke Beats, with 10 hard hitting instrumental tracks. And just to prove that he ain’t all about art-rap, Blockhead produced 2 tracks on the newly crowned Skribble Jam Battle Champ, MacLethal’s full-length album. Oh, and the guy does comedy, too. He’s a member of the Party Fun Action Committee who’s hip-hop/comedy debut album was recently released on the legendary Def Jux. And what was the other thing? Oh yeah, exquisite, emotional instrumental hip hop on the one and only Ninja Tune…
Labeled as one of humboldt countys most prominent party/club dance bands Moo-Got-2 has been creating quite the buzz. With their infectious dance grooves and booty shaking rhythms from start to finish, the band flows effortlessly into a frenzy of funk and rock reminiscent of bands like Galactic, Ween and the Motet. They also have a lot psychedelic moments similar to STS9, Phish and the Disco Biscuits. The great thing about this band is they have their own twist to the jamband element that is unpredictable and exciting. The audience is always paying attention to this and continuously egging the band on. In short Moo-Got-2 is all about fun. The have a great ability to take a simple funk tune and write lyrics that tell stories. They play to the crowd very well night after night blending many different styles such as funk, rock, reggae and latin into an eclectic mix. The band has a great sense of being able to improvise in the moment and take a song to a new place each time they perform it.

Gene Cochino
Gene Cochino uses art, music, talents (ie. fireworks handling, and general ruckus bringing, etc) to heal this planet, as well as its inhabitants, and himself. Cochino began DJing about 7 years ago with a long break manageing various bands including the San Francisco world fusion, African/Middle eastern gypsy crew Hamsa Lila. As Hamsa Lila was slowing Cochino bacame inspired by the new sounds coming out of london, dubstep and grime. As it was for most people who grew up in the house/DnB/Jungle/ and breaks underground scene on the west coast, Dubstep/Grime was totally fresh and inspired him to once again play records and jump head first back into the DJ and production world. In Gene Cochino started the west coast dubstep label Castle Dubskull Records. With an amazing roster of talent, and some seriously huge tunes the focus will be to bring out some of the west coast’s hottest talent as well as focusing on keeping the scene low with heavy vinyl pressings taking front and center. Nothing but Respect to the those who stand up for freedom, human rights, and the ultimate universal law of love, as well as all souljahz reppin the Vinyl.

Kush Arora
Born and Raised in the Bay Area, Kush grew up as a drummer and electronic music lover and creator in the active experimental, punk and electronic scene taking part in various groups and record labels, playing alongside folks like Big City Orchestra, Blevin Blechdum, Wobbly, and being a core member of RecordLabelRecords: Fluorescent Grey, and the Great White Hype. All the while, the love for dancehall/dub and the culture punjabi music grew and focus was directed to this. From Brooklyn to Sf is Kush’s 3rd release which features dancehall and dread bass vocalists from across the U.S. Pushed into a new zone of Indian and reggae riddim that ended up in a punjabi warzone. This time around, he has focused his attention to dread bass and bashment vocalists from around the country who have been pushing the envelope of the riddims they sing on. It’s a thick sludge of twisted digital dancehall singles, and an assortment of punjabi, grime, and dubstep influences to make a fiery and more seething, song based follow up to twisted indian release, “Bhang Ragga” from 2006. It features: JUAKALI(Dub WAR NYC), ZULU(perception 20/20, Aceyalone and Kool Keith, DJ C collabs), N4SA(Jamaica Natural), Gurmeet, Blacksmith, Poppy, Process Rebel, Maneesh the Twister, and Lukeino- three dub tracks.
